Internship, Service Technician Trainee (Fall 2026) – Laval, Quebec

Tesla is basically on the look out for a driven Service Technician Trainee Intern to join its Vehicle Service crew, in Laval, Quebec. This internship is meant to be a real, in-the-bay experience servicing Tesla electric vehicles and at the same time learn about EV technology, plus the Tesla systems that are kinda innovative and always moving forward.

This kind of role feels right for students who are already enrolled in an automotive program and who are actually interested in electric vehicles, vehicle maintenance, and building practical technical know-how in a customer facing service setting , not just theory.

Job Description

  • The Service Technician Trainee Intern will be doing entry level inspection, repair, and maintenance on Tesla electric vehicles at the service center.
  • You will get in there and build experience with EV technology, and use service tools.
  • You will complete vehicle inspections, support parts operations, 
  • You will help with customer service while working with the team.

Responsibilities

  • Do entry level inspection, repair, and maintenance on Tesla electric vehicles.
  • Use different hand , power, and shop tools.
  • Carry out equipment inspections, adjustments, and certifications.
  • Complete Pre-Delivery Inspections, or PDI , on new Tesla vehicles.
  • Keep inventory organized, track time records, manage shop supplies and parts.
  • Help keep customer vehicles clean and ready.
  • Support Parts operations and Front of House work as needed.
  • Join rotational activities across the service center.

Requirements

  • Know the methods and techniques used in vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Current enrollment in an Automotive program is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Work well in a team based environment.
  • Have a strong “safety first” mindset.
  • Have a familiar understanding of English.
  • Have basic computer skills.
