Job Description
- As a Manufacturing Test & Equipment Engineering Technician, you’ll build, and then validate custom high-power automated testing equipment for Tesla production lines.
- You’ll handle electro-mechanical assembly, figure out why equipment acts weird, partner with engineers and cross-functional teams.
- You’ll help during equipment deployment across Tesla sites and even contract manufacturers.
Responsibilities
- Do electrical wiring plus control-panel wiring, end to end
- Assemble mechanical frames, fixtures and test setups
- Build equipment based on drawings, schematics, and the usual manufacturing documentation
- Help troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues when things don’t cooperate
- Support equipment validation, then deployment
- Take part in prototyping, and early development stages, before everything gets finalized
- Support procurement, keep an eye on inventory management, and manage material handling
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience building control panels and/or manufacturing equipment
- Understanding of pneumatic and fluid systems
- Experience working with high-voltage AC and DC systems
